We expected better service from the reviews we had read. We had our basement roughed in from a perfect plumber. The add says they clean up after themselves, but we were left with our concrete remnants; thrown away in our own window wells. We also asked if they would help with the remaining hook ups since we don’t know how to sauter the copper. We were told it was an additional charge, to the already expensive amount. They also didn’t back fill under our tub, to prevent cracking. Very disappointed and embarrassed to say we Paid $4,800. We still have to hire someone else to sauter our copper.

I just wanted to thank Spencer Peck for coming and fixing our bathroom faucet. It now doesn’t drip and the hot water is hot and the cold water is cold. He was friendly honest and super professional. Spencer has come to our house a few times to fix things. We have a new water heater, pressure regulator and water filtration system that replaced our water softener. His pricing is very fair and his customer service is spot on. He will also tell you if he sees anything else that may be a problem as well as let you know if something can be serviced instead of the high dollar cost of replacing. This shows honesty and I really appreciate that.

What do I love about this business??? EVERYTHING!!! Spencer has, from the first phone call, treated me with kindness, respect and understanding. We had to change appointments 4 times, and with each call to change, he treated me with the same respect and understanding. We had a very small bathroom, so he had to go back to get a 10" rough tank that would fit. He was ALWAYS patient and really worked a miracle to make it fit. This man spent A LOT of extra time to put in the new toilet and didn't charge more, when most other companies would. Everything was exceptional with Spencer and his work and personality, and respect. I HIGHLY recommend this man, Spencer, and his wonderful company!

We were debating between tankless and simply just replacing the old tank water heater. Spencer gave the best prices on both but steered us in the direction of the Rheem brand water heater. They showed up on time and performed the work quickly which included having to reroute the gas line. So why the 2 star?Fast forward 2 months and gas control valve on the water heater failed and no hot water. I was confident that Spencer would understand this was a pretty big deal for us. When we contacted him he informed us we would have to contact the manufacturer ourselves in order to get a replacement part. I found this odd, as I have never had to do this in the past with similar types of issues. I go to the web page of Rheem to get service and it promptly directs me to this page "Need Warranty Service?To obtain warranty service, contact your local Rheem Pro. It’s a good idea to have your product serial number ready when you call. "I filled in the information and it then it pulls up a web page with a list of contractors who are a Rheem Professional. A Perfect Plumber was at the top of the list. Odd, I just called A Perfect Plumber and was told to contact Rheem directly. My wife had to get the phone number from Spencer. He sounded like he was bothered to have to be helping us. Once we got the phone number I called Rheem. Provided them information and then asked which contractor I was. I informed them I was the home owner not the contractor and they were wondering why I called them as it was supposed to be the contractors. They agreed to ship me the part. Then Rheem asked if wanted standard free shipping or paid overnight shipping. Pretty stupid question..yeah, I want to be without hot water for 4 business days. So I was forced to pay for overnight shipping. This is on a Friday. I asked if it would show up on a Saturday and Rheem told me it would. Rheem was not truthful. The part I paid to have shipped overnight would not be showing up until Monday.After doing much research on the Rheem brand, Rheem has hundreds of 1 star reviews and the part that I needed to have replaced has known issues and the main complaint was constantly having to have it replaced while under warranty. Customers have to pay for expedited shipping and the labor to replace the known faulty part. Biggest issue is Spencer seemed to not care at all we were without hot water. Offered no solutions other than to wait until the part gets there. Granted he was willing to come over on Saturday night provided the part was there.This forced us to find another solution with another company. They quoted us for a tankless which would take 10 days to get on the schedule, but they replaced the faulty water heater with another one for us to use in the meantime so that we can have hot water immediately until the new system can be installed. I was also informed the part that needed replaced is usually available at Standard Plumbing. The only reason they didn't just replace the faulty part is due to the rush to get us hot water and not enough time to get the part in a timely manner.Spencer did offer to swap out the old water heater with a different brand with no labor cost, but not on a Saturday as he was unavailable. We didn't take this personally, we just needed hot water much quicker than he was able to provide a fix.Unfortunately, we were not willing to wait until Monday or Tuesday to get hot water. We felt Spencer wasn't really interested in getting us back up and running, so we had to find another solution. I would recommend that the owner look up the reviews for Rheem water heaters, they're garbage. The part that failed on ours is known to fail repeatedly according to all the online reviews by customers. Had Spencer been more willing to get our hot water issues fixed quickly, we would have stayed with him.

A Perfect Plumber will be the only company I use from now on! The handle on our shower broke off and we couldn't turn the water off.We had a different competitor come in and look at it first. He actually made the issue worse. He quoted us $800 to $1,600, and he'd come back the next day.We called many other companies, and every quote was $1,000 or more. Spencer came into our home and treated our house like it was his own. He was professional, polite, and fast. He charged us $200. And fixed the showerhead for free. My only regret is that I didn't call him first! I've learned my lesson. Thank you!!

Definitely NOT a perfect plumber! We hired a perfect plumber to install our new tub. First off we should have known when he wouldn't give us his hourly rate, that we should have stopped right there. He charged us a huge amount for a short amount of time(another red flag). While his guys were installing the tub, spencer(the owner) kept calling his guys telling them to hurry and asking them, "are you done yet?" "are you done yet?" The guys installed the tub incorrectly. They did not secure the tub to the wall. They did not level it. The valve, shower head spout, basically any of the plumbing was not secured properly. My husband kept asking about all of this and they kept saying, "No it's fine, it's fine" Nothing was installed correctly and now we are paying another plumber to do it the right way. Thanks Perfect Plumber, you charged us $500 for nothing! Use a perfect plumber if you want a job to be rushed and done improperly!!

Spencer noticed me ask for help putting in a a stop and waste valve for a sprinkler set up in. He noticed a bunch of people haggling me on price and immediately gave me a decent bid on doing the job. He was quick at doing the job and explained how to do the finished product when we were ready to put in the sprinkler system and offered his help if we have issues. I also asked him about moving my laundry room upstairs, also gave me a decent bid on the job and will definitely be contacting him in the future to do the job! I recommend his work!

Spencer and his crew recently finished a remodel for my husband and I. Everything was great up until the last day. I feel like Spencer wanted the job done and ended up cutting corners. The work that as been done prior to that day was decent for the most part. I now have to stare at those areas of my bathroom that were done poorly. Spencer was fantastic! We needed someone to fix our toilet which caused damage to the floor, so that needed to be redone as well. Spencer is a general contractor, and I was so happy to have one person who was able to make it all happen at the same time rather than calling just a plumber then having to have a separate tile installer come in to do the floor. That would have taken far longer than the 3 days down time we needed for A Perfect Plumber to do the job. It turned out beautifully and I am so happy to have a new bathroom! That is a big plus in Tooele where a lot of contractors make appointments but never show up. We also hired him to do a small job at our house and of course was very pleased with his work. Spencer saved my and my home from further damage. I had a toilet that got clogged and I plumbed but apparently something was in there and it turned and overflowed all night and flooded all the way to the basement. I called four companies and he was the only one able to come out right away. I have never had to wait for his assistance. He also offers discounts for established clientele.
